Youth Leadership 2.0 is meeting today at St. James Episcopal Church in Mansfield. During this session, the youth leaders refined elevator speeches in a fast paced think-on-your-feet activity. They crushed it! Wanna try? 1st round: Partner up with a friend, you get 20 seconds to deliver an elevator speech, get a few seconds to receive feedback and take notes, then switch to a different partner and do it again, and again, and again. Today was Sticker Shock 2019 at Steve’s Beverage in Wellsboro. The Wellsboro SADD Club, along with SADD Club Advisor Phil Snyder and Prevention Specialist Coleen Evert met up with Commissioner Mark Hamilton, Wellsboro Officer Jeremy Cook, and PA State Trooper Angela Bieber to place stickers on cases of alcoholic beverages. The stickers remind adults that “Parents who host lose the most.” —Furnishing alcohol to minors is against the law.
Participating student SADD Club members: (front row, then back row, left to right) Jessica Brooks, Jenna Smith, Jena Boyce, Ryann Adams, Bre Kemp, Kiyah Boyce, Megan Starkweather, Chelsie English.
